New Bolivian Beverage promises Coca Leaf as ingredient

Coca leaf soda has become a new search engine trend as a result of its creation and distribution by a Bolivian soft drink manufacturer. In the same way that companies are making coca leaf tea and other drinks, the use of the coca leaf for legal purposes has become a new way to help farmers in Bolivia and other South American countries to continue traditional agricultural practices without making the product into illegal narcotics. As many people know, the coca leaf was used for years in the production of Coca Cola, but the active ingredient was phased out by the early 1900s. The new coca leaf soda is unlikely to have the same stimulant effects as the leaves themselves, which are a controlled substance for obvious reasons. Meanwhile, the practice of coca leaf tea use for folk remedies has become more popular in the US and other countries, and if you do a search on “coca leaf tea” you will notice that there are quite a few distributors who will send the product to you. For people who are looking for energy and a thrill, energy drinks and name-brand sodas may provide more of this  than coca teas that are used for medicinal purposes, and coca leaf sodas which will likely sell more on the idea of the beverage vs. the actual effect. There are also alcoholic beverages based on the coca leaf as a flavoring agent, but once again this is more for novelty purposes than anything else..
