Tanning Information

Skin Darkening Tips

In the past, if you wanted to get a tan you would just stand out in the sun until your skin got burned and then after that healed you would have a nice tan. This happened to me once in Hawaii, where I got an awful burn after a few minutes in the sun, but looked several shades browner afterwards even though the sun made my hair red, but at least I didn't get any sunburns after that. Of course this is a horrible story, because lack of protection and excessive tanning can get you skin cancer, which is no good for anybody. Tanning can be done in spray tanning booths, or with those orange bronzing applications like everyone in the cast of Jersey Shore seems to be using. Dye-ing your skin is probably not an ideal solution since you don't know how your dermal regions handle the extra chemicals. Sun lamps and tanning booths offer year round tanning in a UV sarchophagus. You can get a limited amount of sun every day as well, but it is generally believed in medicine that tanning is a result of damage by way of UVA and UVB rays. Tanning also prematurely ages skin, which is why many people in film and television avoid it since they don't want to get extra botox and facelifts to correct the wrinkles and age spots associated with light exposure.

Notes and Special Information

Special note: You don't have to be a doctor to know that excessive UV rays from tanning can be bad for you, and recent research indicates that you can become addicted to tanning beds..
