Prevent TBI, Death, and Blast Injuries
Shockproof helmets are designed to significantly reduce the blast effects and shock waves from improvised explosive devices and other booby traps encountered by soldiers in the field. Advanced helmet technology may help save lives, prevent hospitalizations for brain injuries, and reduce the long-term care cost of soldiers injured by such devices.
Notes and Special Information
Special note: Shock proof helmet technology is currently in testing mode but can hopefully be moved out onto the battlefield as rapidly as possible. Any development that may deter enemies from using IEDs and other devices can only hasten a resolution to longstanding conflicts.
