Social Network Submission is currently offline. QoolSqool.com is undergoing some changes and is under new management. We have lost access to the original directory submissions, and hope to create a new list as soon as time permits. QoolSqool.com is under new management, but we are working to become the same great educational resource that people have come to expect. Watch this site for a chance to add your links to our directory of sites related to schools and educational resources.

What social networks should you add yourself to? As of October 2008, the best ones include Stumbleupon.com and Digg.com. Stumbleupon just made it possible to surf without installing the toolbar, so expect their traffic to go up.

Tips for getting yourself into Social Media (actually the only tip). Have something that people would recommend to a friend, or an angle that gets the site noticed. If you sell widgets, and have "10 crazy things to do with your widget" then you would submit yourself to social networks and get people's attention. This is one of the top ways of getting traffic and links to your site. If you are in business to make money, try to make sure your topic is relevant enough to the product. If you're selling Neoprene Seat Covers then create a page or video on your site that gets attention. You could either have fashion models wearing neoprene and say that the only thing tighter is when the neoprene is on the seat. You could put the cover on a seat outside the car, pour several gallons of sticky red fruit juice on it, let it sit for a few hours, wash it off with a garden hose (note that the sticky red juice could stain some of the neoprene), and then take the cover off to show that the juice didn't get into the upholstery because the cover is waterproof. Then again, you could skip the juice and just blast the seat with a hose to prove the same point, since these covers were originally developed for surfers and people with open topped Jeeps.
