Update: Paul got married on the weekend of October 11, so all of you ladies who have been waiting around since 1964 are still out of luck! Sources say Paul McCartney is prepared to get married for the third time this weekend or a few days afterward. American businesswoman Nancy Shevell, a multimillionaire in her own right, is set marry Paul in England.
Paul's upcoming wedding to Nancy Shevell represents his third trip down the aisle. His best known marriage, to Linda Eastman, lasted
29 years until she died of breast cancer at their home near Tucson, Arizona. According to published reports, they had only
been apart for 11 days in their whole marriage, a few of which were due to his incarceration in Japan on drug smuggling
charges. A later marriage to model Heather Mills lasted only a few years, but was a tabloid sensation and made Ms. Mills
somewhat infamous as she was accused of being a "gold digger" although it was Paul who did not insist on a pre-nuptual agreement.
Supposedly, there is no pre-nump with Nancy either. Considering that Paul is a billionaire thanks to his Beatles recordings
and ownership of many classic songs (including those of Buddy Holly) there will be some debate about Paul's business sense,
but perhaps he is as romantic as the his music. Over the course of his other marriages, Paul has four children from Linda and one from
Ms. Mills.
